Department Head at the Women's Clinic
We offer you a stimulating position as department head at the women's clinic with many points of contact.
The operation runs around the clock within acute and planned gynecology and also includes gynecology outpatient care, midwives with their own clinics, and oncology services. The staff is competent and experienced.
The women's clinic has had a process-oriented working method for many years, where you will play an important role in the continued development work. Each unit has a care developer with whom the department head collaborates closely. There is also a staffing assistant for the entire clinic to support you in your management, for example with scheduling and short-term absences.
As department head, you are responsible for the work environment and are expected to lead, plan, and develop the operations in close collaboration with the operations manager, fellow department heads, and staff. You are part of the management team at the women's clinic and report directly to the operations manager. The role includes personnel responsibility for approximately 45 employees, including nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, staffing assistants, and clinic assistants.

About You
We are looking for someone with a degree from a university or college focused on health and medical care or other education that the employer deems relevant. You have several years of experience in your profession.
As a leader, you are present, straightforward, and clear. You are good at collaborating and building good relationships and ensure that competence, engagement, and participation are utilized among employees. Furthermore, you are responsible and plan your work in a structured way. As a person, you are calm, humble, and attentive, and enjoy working with people. You can create motivation among employees, take a stand on various issues, and clarify solutions when needed. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Your Future Workplace
The women's clinic has about 200 employees in maternity and postpartum care, gynecology, specialist maternity care, and urotherapy. We consist of three different areas: Obstetrics, gynecology, and maternal health care. The gynecological part focuses on gynecological diseases and treatments as well as early pregnancy complications up to and including pregnancy week 21. Gynecology ward 5 has 6 care places and 4 day care places. In the maternity/postpartum unit, mothers and children are cared for in connection with childbirth, as well as pregnant women with pregnancy complications from pregnancy week 22. The maternal health care service consists of pregnancy monitoring, parenting groups, contraceptive counseling, gynecological cell sample checks, and youth activities. We are located in midwifery clinics, youth clinics, and family centers, totaling 14 clinics. In addition, there is also a specialist maternity care that conducts most ultrasound examinations/ultrasound screenings during pregnancy and manages pregnant women with complicating medical conditions.
The County Hospital in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an acute hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postpartum care. More than 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
